Addressing the Opportunity Gap is a community campaign to accelerate and expand the Portland Public Schools' equity work. PPS strives to be an anti-racist, inclusive district by vigilantly supporting each student to achieve their potential and rooting out systemic inequities.

Your donation will go towards initiatives including:

• Developing and implementing Wabanaki and local Black history curriculum

• Purchasing culturally responsive books and resources, including texts written by Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) authors 

• Providing professional development for preK-12 teachers and other staff

• Recruiting, hiring, supporting, and advancing the careers of BIPOC staff members
